Recently purchased Feeder and Water dispenser for the Avery... #2022 #ByRavenmorFox #WintersSamhuinn #Roosters #ChookFeeder #WaterDispenser #Avery There is a myriad of water and feed holders out there from pre-made to DIY, and when I started out, it was just a couple of saucers holding each for me. A week later I opted for a grain feeder and water dispenser that I can hang off the ground in the Avery I am yet to build. Currently my Roo is sleeping in a Dog kennel off the ground with a ramp/roost into it with sheets of fencing roofing over (for now). Personally I prefer these types of feeders and dispensers due to the ability to hang them off the ground or stand on some bricks, keeping hay and bedding out of them. My only not so great thing about the grain feeder though is that if they aren’t in the coop/run fenced off with chooks inside then all the other (Very Well Fed :) local birds especially my cute sparrows have a feed of the feed too at a time I haven’t got all supplies quite together yet. To use theses dispensers and feeders simply fill the holder held upside down and the screw on the plate before turning right side up. Appropriate content will fill the plate accordingly. There are steel options but in such a damp wet place that I’m in now, I'd feel they'd corrode or become metallic tasting. There’s also a large chook feed dispenser you can get which I guess would be great for more than 4 in a flock. From the Chapter ‘Woolly Chicken’ By Druid & Witch of the old ways, And Priestess of the Morrigan, Ravenmor Fox Thank-you, don’t forget to save and share.
